The local car park was half empty this morning, now that the temporarily suspended car parking charges have been reintroduced?
The council would probably say; our pre Christmas ‘gift’ to the shopping public was a resounding success due to the full car parks. No, they were full because it was free! It’s also interesting to note how many people can actually manage to go to work or go shopping without their cars when they have to pay to park them!
