Quotes

Since an early age, probably because of my parents quoting famous people and traditional proverbs at me, I have had an interest in the use of quotations. They often illustrate a point that I’ve been unable to word myself and, they can also be a source of inspiration on how to live your life.

“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite” – Nelson Mandela

Some of my favourite quotations include:-

Open your eyes, look within. Are you satisfied with the life you’re livingBob Marley (1945-1981), Jamaican Singer & Composer

AND…

Life is so very simple. It’s people who make it complicated – Unknown and attributed to many (including me because I use it so often).

AND…

All that’s necessary for the forces of evil to win in the world is for enough good men to do nothing. Edmund Burke (British Statesman and Philosopher 1729-1797)

AND…

A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination. Nelson Mandela

AND…

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes)
