Eternal judgement fire…

Qur’ān. V49:11–13: "come to know each oth...

Once again, news this week is packed full of stories about anti-islamic rhetoric and similar amounts of Muslim condemnation of the Western World. Hardly surprising I suppose when some half-baked bible basher in the USA decides to set fire to a few volumes of the Koran (Qur’an)…

Pastor Terry Jones, leader of a tiny Protestant church in Gainesville, Florida, which campaigns against what it calls “radical Islam,” is facing calls from U.S. government, military and religious leaders, and from abroad, to cancel plans to publicly burn Islam’s holy book. (Reuters)

Verbally fighting back (so far), Anjem Choudary (Islam4UK) said in remarks to Reuters that he “expected” like-minded groups to stage flag burnings in the United States etc for what he called the “U.S. occupation of Muslim lands.”

I have to wonder if there would be the same level of international media hype and public outrage if, Abu Hamza al-Masri, or even some radical or disillusioned corner shop owner in Bradford/Luton/Birmingham etc, decided to torch a few copies of the Bible?

Again (apparently opposing) branches of religion are being antagonistic to the point of possible violence; it appears that hundreds of years of history haven’t actually taught some people anything! Whatever your belief be it Christian, Islamic or whatever, even with my limited religious knowledge, I know that neither the Bible OR the Qur’an actually promote violence towards your fellow-man. Whichever holy book you follow, if you have these intentions… Shame on You!

The only burning that should actually take place is an eternal one. A higher beings fire of judgement for all those who choose to interpret holly texts for their own misguided and fanatical aims!

May your god (whoever he/she may be) go with you…
